The C1 course is for drivers who wish to upgrade their current car driving licence to enable them to drive 7.5 Tonne vehicle for commercial or domestic use. This licence upgrade will entitle drivers to drive vehicles such as delivery vans, ambulances or medium sized horse boxes.

It is recommended that the best way to achieve this licence is book a block course of training that will enable us to plan and structure a bespoke training course that caters for your individual needs based on your current ability and driving experience.

Our method of training is set to develop your driving skills gradually and build your knowledge in a way that gets you to test standard on a level that works for you on an individual basis.

This course also includes the (E) Trailer license and is perfect if you need to tow medium sized trailers on your truck. These can include horseboxes, livestock trailers, plant trailers, caravans, car transporters and boat trailers. All commercial and non-commercial drivers that are looking to tow a trailer, horsebox or caravan from a range of vehicles are required to take the E test for towing a trailer or caravan (weighing over 750kg).

In terms of actual time, most people only need 2 or 3 days off work to see them through the test the whole C+E test. We offer 16 hours. If you just need the trailer part, this usually will take less time.

The average duration of the course is around 4-5 weeks, depending on our availability and your availability. This timescale also depends on the DVLA and how efficient they are at sending your provisional license back.

You must be over 18 with a valid in-date UK car driving license. You must always carry your license while on the course. This course is only suitable for confident drivers.
